As part of Garenne’s sponsorship and partnership with Highlands College, we supported the DEC! Level 3 students from Highlands with a visit to the recent UK Construct Week Expo ExCel in London.  Whilst in London the students had the opportunity to visit the architects at Sheppard Robson who are currently designing an exciting new project in Jersey and G&T Project Managers where they had a show-stealing presentation from Assistant Project Manager Stephanie O’Dwyer.  Stephanie is 21 and currently working on multi-million-pound projects but she discussed her route from school and how G&T are supporting her studies through an apprenticeship.  The two days were inspiring for all the students and the teaching staff from Highlands and they gained significant experience from the workshops attended over the two days. 

Garenne Executive Director Marc Burton, who lead the trip said, “This is the perfect example of Education, Government and industry working together, sharing one common objective = students ‘follow your dreams’ with careers in the built environment.”
