The Garenne Construction Group are delighted that J3 Ltd, our collaboration with Sir Robert McAlpine and FES, won a National Award in the Proud to Help category at the Building Awards for the work completed on the Nightingale Wing.
The category was added as an Award in 2019 to reflect the resilience and determination the construction industry has shown over the last six months during the Covid 19 pandemic.
Marc Burton, CEO explains, “The construction of the Nightingale Wing of the Jersey General Hospital was an amazing example of the construction community of Jersey coming together. With 83 different local companies being involved over 25 days, everyone worked extremely hard to complete the project to a very tight deadline. This award shortlisting is testament to the talent and skill that we have on the Island along with the community spirit that kept the team going".
Being a National Award, we were up against some very strong competition. The shortlisting announcement stated that the category had been inundated with really amazing entries so we are proud to have made it to the final listing and in true spirit of being a community award, the judges decided that everyone in the category deserved the recognition to win.
