Three strategic appointments strengthen Garenne's Board

Garenne Construction Group has welcomed three new directors to its main board. The appointments highlight the Group's strength and diversity across its three jurisdictions of Jersey, Guernsey and the UK.

Simon Silbernagl, Managing Director of Camerons in Jersey, has worked for the Group for five years. Prior to joining Camerons, Mr Silbernagl worked for construction consulting companies Mace, JR Knowles and Hill International.

Geomarine Guernsey Managing Director Tom Whitmore has worked for the Group for nearly 10 years. Prior to joining Geomarine, he gained experience on various civil engineering projects in consultancy and contracting roles, primarily in the marine, civil and power sectors.

Chris Bell, Managing Director of Sterling Services and Garenne Natural Stone (UK), joined the Group in 2013, bringing with him a wealth of experience in construction site engineering, management and civil engineering in the UK and Middle East.

Their board responsibilities will be in addition to their on-going roles as Managing Director of their respective companies.

Andy Hall, Garenne Group Chairman, said, 'It is great news that we have been able to make these three strategic appointments from within our group of companies. Simon, Chris and Tom bring exceptional strength and depth from across the group and their experience will be a major boost to our board. Garenne Group started in Guernsey in the 1980s but is now equally active in Jersey and the UK, so it is essential that we strengthen our main board across the three jurisdictions.'
